Woodchuck — Tournament Champions

Yensi was in the kitchen early this morning cooking breakfast for our Forester and Saxon soccer tournament at a nearby camp, Indian Acres. The team was ready to take the field, even after hiking 24 hours earlier. The squad cruised through the first few games of the tournament and found themselves in the finals. After a scoreless first half, Archer and Noah strung together a few passes and put Robin Hood on the board. The thriller of a game ended at just that, 1-0 in Robin Hood’s favor.

While the team was out bringing home the hardware, the Bows and Quills were out lounging at the beach. The two groups left at 7:30am and spent the day on the sand and in the cool water. The sun was shining, the waves were rolling, and even the campers were able to get fun food and snacks!

All afternoon, tie-dye shirts were drying out at Arts and Crafts. TPs, Scouts, Jesters, and Jugglers were making colorful designs on their plain white shirts. Tomorrow morning, when we retrieve them from the drying rack, the Quad will be filled with campers donning their colorful new threads.

The night ended quietly after dinner–just kidding. The night was far from over. As dinner was concluding, the Arrows challenged the Bards to an evening Gaga competition. The two groups piled into the pit and engaged in an intense round. After two more equally intense rounds, the Bards emerged victorious, winning 2-1. Following the friendly competition, the two groups ran down to watch the Scouts jump off of the dock into the lake while wearing pajamas!

Now, everyone is quiet and back to their bunks, awaiting another fun-filled day. See you all in the morning.

Goodnight from CRH.
