What a way to follow up America’s birthday! The Bards headed out after breakfast to climb Mount Bayle. The 30 girls were all smiles as they stopped at Cozy Corner for some well-deserved ice cream on the way home.
We sent several sports teams to other camps throughout the day. The U11 boys basketball team had a HUGE day at Indian Acres. They finished the tournament 5-0 and brought home another championship! Great job boys! Meanwhile, we sent several tennis players to Winaukee, where one of our 15U doubles team took the crown. Our 14U soccer team departed straight from lunch and competed in a hard fought tournament.
Back at camp, a few big activities were underway. The girls 12U softball team had their first practice on our brand new baseball/softball field as they prepared for their tournament on Monday. The flying squirrel had a busy day swinging campers 40 feet to the tune of laughter and shouts. Both the senior camp and junior camp plays had great sessions during their rehearsals. We cannot wait to see the finished product!
It was another beautiful, hot day at the Realm, and every group had a chance to get in beautiful Lake Ossipee this afternoon to cool off. The fun didn’t stop at dinner as Woody announced that spirit day is tomorrow. The girls will head to Evergreen to play four sports in their respective age groups while the boys from RobinHood will host the boys from Kenwood. It should be a fun, competitive day!
Our campers and staff are still so full of energy after such a busy two weeks! In large part, that is due to the friends, new and old, as the energy here is contagious! Sweet dreams from the Realm!
