Woodchuck 7/1

Woodchuck July 1, 2024

What another beautiful and busy day in The Realm. Our For The Needs of Others program (FNOO) is in full swing, with every group having a chance to meet at least once and some groups finishing the series. Those who are interested in carrying on these conversations throughout the year with their camp friends will have the opportunity to join the RobinHood Gives Back Youth Advisory Board and plan next year’s RobinHood Gives Back Day.

Meanwhile, the rest of camp was buzzing – from the Home Run Diamond to the tennis courts to the woodshop to the waterfront. It’s amazing how much some of our campers have improved in certain specialties in just over a week.

Outside of camp, the Archers summited Mt. Bayle, ending with a pit stop at Cozy Corner on the way home. Our 15U girls volleyball team brought home the championship from Evergreen. Great job ladies! Meanwhile, our 13U boys football team and 14U boys basketball spent the afternoon at Wildwood. After spirited battles, they earned 2nd and 3rd place. Meanwhile, the Bows and Quills enjoyed an afternoon of candlepin bowling, snacks, and sugar.

All in all, it was a great day. At dinner, Woody announced the first Beach Day trip of the year, which will take place tomorrow with the Bards, Shires, and Scribes headed to Ogunquit Beach! After dinner, the cover band Fun Bucket performed several 80s hits in the barn for the Friars, Bards, Foresters, Shires, and Saxons. The rest of camp was full of activity, from the Lancer 3v3 basketball tournament to the Bow backwards scavenger hunt on the quad and so much more.

Tomorrow looks to be another great day here in 03836!
