Greetings, Camp Robinhood Parents!

What a splendid day we’ve had here at Lake Ossipee! The sun greeted us with its warm embrace, and our young adventurers embarked on a delightful journey.

Breakfast Delight: Our morning began with scrumptious English muffins, freshly baked and served with a smile. The campers devoured them, their laughter echoing across the dining hall.

Surprise Excursion: Junior campers were in for a treat! We boarded buses and headed to North Conway, where the silver screen awaited us. “Disposable Me 4” had everyone laughing, gasping, and cheering. And what better way to cap off the cinematic adventure than with pizza for dinner?

Talent Unleashed: As the sun dipped below the horizon, our junior campers took centre stage. The talent show was a mix of creativity! We witnessed captivating acting, graceful dancing, soulful singing, and even a touch of magic. These young stars shone brightly, leaving us in awe.

Tomorrow Awaits: With hearts full of joy, we bid you goodnight. Rest assured, tomorrow promises another day of wonder, friendship, and discovery. Until then, sweet dreams, dear parents!

See you soon, The Camp Robinhood Team

Dear Camp Robinhood Parents,

We hope this message finds you well! As the sun sets over our beautiful lake, we wanted to share the highlights of another incredible day at our beloved camp.

Morning Delights: Cinnamon Rolls and Mini Golf The day began with eager campers gathering for a delightful breakfast—warm cinnamon rolls that disappeared faster than a squirrel chasing acorns! Our yeomen and archers, fueled by sugar and excitement, embarked on a friendly competition at the local mini golf course. Laughter echoed through the trees as they putted their way to victory.

Bayle Mountain Hike Meanwhile, our junior campers laced up their hiking boots and set off on an adventure up Bayle Mountain. Their youthful energy and curiosity led them to discover hidden trails, wildflowers, and breathtaking vistas. The view from the summit was nothing short of magical.

“So You Think You Can Dance” Preparations In the afternoon, the camp buzzed with creativity as campers rehearsed their dance routines for the upcoming talent show. From slow dance to hip-hop, our talented performers practiced their moves with dedication. We can’t wait to see their dazzling performances under the starlit sky!

Euros Fever: England vs. Netherlands Sports enthusiasts gathered in the barn, eyes glued to the screen, as England faced off against the Netherlands in the Euros. Cheers erupted when England secured a thrilling 2-1 victory. The camp camaraderie was electric!

Chicken Parm and Bowling Battles As the sun dipped below the horizon, the aroma of chicken parm wafted from the dining hall. Our bards and friars, fueled by both pasta and passion, engaged in a fierce bowling tournament. Strikes, spares, and friendly banter filled the air. Who will emerge as the bowling champion? The suspense is palpable!

A Realm of Adventure Awaits As we bid you goodnight, know that your children are safe, happy, and thriving in this enchanting realm. Tomorrow promises more laughter, more memories, and perhaps a few surprises. Until then, rest well, dear parents. We’ll see you at morning flagpole!

With campfire warmth, The Camp Robinhood Team

We are so lucky to be here this summer. Today was a perfect example of why. We have been making the most out of the beautiful weather and sunny skies that we have been blessed with nearly every day this summer.

Fresh off their epic summit of Mount Washington, the Saxons headed to Ogunquit Beach this morning. They were accompanied by the Friars and Foresters, leaving the Lancers as the oldest boys group in camp for most of the day. The Friars, Foresters, and Saxons enjoyed basking in the sun, strolling the boardwalk, and bodysurfing. It is SO special to have watched the kids in these groups mature over the last several years.

This morning we shipped off the Jugglers, Squires and Archers to Birchmont for a playdate. After a fun morning of sports, they returned to The Realm just in time for grilled cheese! Meanwhile, the Tumblers and Bows took on the ladies from Birchmont in our house. They worked together and didn’t lose a single game all morning. Girls Camp is on quite a roll!

The Yeomen set the record for fastest climb of Bayle Mountain today. What was so awesome is that they spent the entire climb together as a unit of 21 12-year-olds. After enjoying the views while lunching, they nearly made it all the way back to the vans before the rain. The short shower didn’t damper the mood as they stopped at Cozy Corner on the way home for some well-deserved ice cream.

This evening, the Quills defeated the Foresters in the 2024 Challenge Cup in a modified game of volleyball. In addition to the glory, the Quills will receive pizza and ice cream, get to customize a championship t-shirt, and own the Cup over the next 12 months. Congratulations!

Cozy Corner had a busy night as we sent the TPs, Tumblers, Shires, Bards, and Friars to ice cream this evening after the hot day. The day was capped off with another incredible sunset at our beachfront. Sweet dreams from The Realm!

We started off Week 3 with a bang! The Saxons and Scribes arose at 6:30 this morning to summit Mount Washington, the Northeast’s highest peak. With sunny skies and limited wind gusts, it may have been the most beautiful day in recent history that our campers have embarked on the journey. The 20 campers and all staff members made it up and down and were welcomed back into the Realm with a high-carb meal featuring Yensi’s famous lasagna, pizza from local favorite Pizza Barn, and more.

Elsewhere, it was another hot and beautiful day! Our phenomenal coaches and counselors have taught our campers so many skills throughout the first two weeks. Our athletics department took home three first place trophies today! First, we heard news from Birchmont that our 12U girls softball team capped off their undefeated morning off with a trophy. Great job ladies! After lunch, the 12U boys soccer team defended RobinHood’s home turf. They finished the day 3-0 and did not let in a single goal. Finally, right before dinner, our two 13U girls soccer teams returned from Evergreen having placed first and second in their tournament.

It was a beautiful day to be outside playing sports and hanging out at the waterfront. The Friars and Yeomen had great baseball periods on our new baseball field as we prepare to host a tournament later this week. In addition to waterskiing, wakeboarding, and wakesurfing, our boats program introduced a camper favorite today, TUBING! Our main beachfront was full all day with swim lessons, general swims, and paddleboarding. A few groups even got to swim at the historic ODT (Outdoor Theater).

The fast-paced day ended with another beautiful sunset at the waterfront as campers raced around camp during Evening Activity. It should be a good night’s sleep for all as we prepare for another HUGE day tomorrow. Sweet dreams from 03836.

Greetings from the Realm where it is sunny and 89° F! We have had a great run of weather and that
only means incredible activities. From Spirit Day yesterday with Camp Kenwood Evergreen (where both
the boys and girls won!) to Beach Day today for the Yeomen and Lancers, we are full speed ahead. This
morning was “Lazy Sunday” where we sleep in a little longer and have a super extravagant breakfast.
This afternoon brought the semi-finals of the Challenge cup where the Foresters are battling the Squires
in Bocce and the Shires are squaring off against the Quills in some Knockout action. Stay tuned to see
who makes it to the finals for the chance to win a trip to the Pizza Barn for a night of all-you-can-eat
pizza!
Tomorrow is packed with more trips, activities and both home and away intercamps. The 12U boys
soccer team will host a 5 team double elimination tourney with Camps Winaukee, Birchmont, Kenwood,
and Crescent Cove. First kick is at 9:45am. The 10U boys won our first soccer tourney of the year last
week, so we look for a good showing from the 12U boys. In other action tomorrow, the 15U girls are off
to play Camp Evergreen in soccer and the 12U girls travel to Birchmont for some softball. This is the
kickoff to a really big week of intercamps, culminating with our first baseball game in the Realm in over
15 years on this coming Friday! Again, stay tuned for all the scores.
We cannot wait to see everyone on PVD! It will be here before you know it…but until then, you can be
sure that we are super busy having the most fun with the best of friends. Thanks for all of your
contributions to making the magic in the trees possible.

Good night from the Realm!
