Every day at Camp RobinHood is a BIG day and today was no exception! We hosted the 48th U13 and U15 boys basketball tournament where camps from the area came to battle it out for the championship. We had two teams in the 13U bracket, one of which went undefeated, beating every other team in the tournament and keeping the trophy in the realm! With limited practice time, the boys moved the ball, communicated well, and worked together to come out on top. The 15U team fell just short in the championship, with the last second half court shot hitting the rim and bouncing off. We are so proud of our boys’ competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

The Jesters had a HUGE day, starting off with a tee time at the mini golf course. In the afternoon they took a little trip to Cozy Corner before taking on the Tumblers in an evening activity challenge of dizzy kickball after dinner.

After a Green and White Break, a proclamation of a group “challenge” is the most exciting it can get in the dining hall. One group, typically the younger group, “challenges” another group to a sport or an activity, which they compete in that evening. In addition to the Tumbler-Jester challenge, the Arrows and Lancers competed in a Lipsync Battle, with both groups choreographing to a dead heat before the Lancers were victorious in the one-on-one dance off.

Today also marked the last day of our ENORMOUS new program at camp, FNOO (For the Needs of Others). Over the past several days, each group has spent multiple periods sharing how they can work together to be more mindful of others, both inside and outside the realm. At RobinHood, we want our kids to have the best summer ever, make lifelong friendships, but most of all, continue to become better people that make a positive impact on the world.

Watching the sunset as the Quills sing potential future Scribe songs makes us realize that time here really does fly. Before we know it, the littlest kids in camp, the Scouts and the TPs, will be Saxons and Scribes, then counselors and Group Leaders, and perhaps one day send their children here to be future Scouts and TPs.

Tomorrow will surely be another big day, with the Saxons and Scribes taking charge of camp for the 4th of July afternoon festivities. Sweet dreams from The Realm!

10! We can’t believe we already wrapped up our 10th day here at RobinHood. You wouldn’t be able to tell it, but just over 10 days ago, over 100 of our campers had never stepped foot in The Realm. Walking around today, it’s incredible to see the bonds being made, the laughs being shared, and the lifelong friendships being created.

Did someone say Beach Day? The Bards, Shires, and Scribes woke up early this morning to grab a quick breakfast and head to Ogunquit Beach in Maine. It was the perfect day to feel sand on toes, cool off in the Atlantic Ocean, and eat lobster while walking the boardwalk. The girls had an amazing time and many of the other groups were begging to be the next ones to go.

We had several other groups leave camp today as well. This morning, the Scouts and Tumblers had a tee time at the local mini golf course. Our 32 youngest girls returned home for lunch with big smiles on their faces and a little bit of sugar in their stomachs. Meanwhile, the Friars set out for Mount Major. Ascending the peak in just over an hour, the boys stopped at CRH’s favorite Cozy Corner for a little ice cream on the way home to cool off. After lunch, the Quills set off for a hike at Diana’s Bath, enjoying the cool water and the walk slides before an ice cream treat. Who doesn’t love a little dessert before dinner?!

We also sent several boys tennis players to Wildwood for 10U, 12U, and 14U tennis. The boys competed hard, displayed great sportsmanship, and our first 10U singles player brought RobinHood a championship!

Back at camp, activities were in full swing. Our brand new ski boats had a busy day on the lake, with several groups having the opportunity to wakeboard, waterski, kneeboard, and more. During Rest Hour, our basketball coach ran a tough practice for the 11U boys team, which has their first tournament on Friday. The Lancers continue to become the best in camp at the Waterfront game of the summer, Rally Ball, which features two double basketball hoops and an enlarged spikeball.

We’re watching a beautiful sunset over the lake as the Arrows are bringing their paddleboards back on land from their sunset session and the Quills are returning from their Sunset Pontoon ride. It’s tie to get some rest as tomorrow promises another BIG day. Sweet dreams from 03836!

What another beautiful and busy day in The Realm. Our For The Needs of Others program (FNOO) is in full swing, with every group having a chance to meet at least once and some groups finishing the series. Those who are interested in carrying on these conversations throughout the year with their camp friends will have the opportunity to join the RobinHood Gives Back Youth Advisory Board and plan next year’s RobinHood Gives Back Day.

Meanwhile, the rest of camp was buzzing – from the Home Run Diamond to the tennis courts to the woodshop to the waterfront. It’s amazing how much some of our campers have improved in certain specialties in just over a week.

Outside of camp, the Archers summited Mt. Bayle, ending with a pit stop at Cozy Corner on the way home. Our 15U girls volleyball team brought home the championship from Evergreen. Great job ladies! Meanwhile, our 13U boys football team and 14U boys basketball spent the afternoon at Wildwood. After spirited battles, they earned 2nd and 3rd place. Meanwhile, the Bows and Quills enjoyed an afternoon of candlepin bowling, snacks, and sugar.

All in all, it was a great day. At dinner, Woody announced the first Beach Day trip of the year, which will take place tomorrow with the Bards, Shires, and Scribes headed to Ogunquit Beach! After dinner, the cover band Fun Bucket performed several 80s hits in the barn for the Friars, Bards, Foresters, Shires, and Saxons. The rest of camp was full of activity, from the Lancer 3v3 basketball tournament to the Bow backwards scavenger hunt on the quad and so much more.

Tomorrow looks to be another great day here in 03836!

Good evening from Camp Robinhood, I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. Let me share the highlights of our Lazy Sunday here on Lake Ossipee.

Lazy Sunday: Our campers enjoyed an extra sleep-in this morning. The older kids seemed to appreciate it more than the younger campers—no surprise there!

Group Photos: We kicked off the morning with group photos by age. The anticipation is high to see how well they turned out!

Robinhood Classic Returns: In the afternoon, we had the much-anticipated Challenge Cup. Boys and girls from all age groups were randomly drawn to compete in various events—from lip-syncing to soccer. Who will be crowned the greatest age group on camp?

Sunday Sundaes: Our oldest campers generously treated everyone to delicious sundaes after a delicious dinner. A sweet way to end the day!

Staff Talent Show: To cap off the night, our leadership team danced, sang, and entertained everyone in the barn. It was a blast!

That’s all from us here at Camp Robinhood. Goodnight, and we’re excited for another amazing week ahead!

Greetings from the lush, rain-kissed grounds of Camp Robinhood! As the sun peeked through the clouds, our spirited campers embarked on a day filled with laughter, learning, and camaraderie.

Our tinkerers, pagers, and jugglers kicked off the morning with a delightful trip to the local mini golf course. Who knows? Perhaps we’ve unearthed the next Tiger Woods or Annika Sörenstam!

Meanwhile, our dedicated foresters and shires immersed themselves in the FNOO program. What’s FNOO, you ask? It stands for “For the Needs of Others.” In this heartwarming initiative, our young leaders learn valuable lessons about community service and lending a helping hand. Rain or shine, their commitment never wavers!

Despite the drizzle, Camp Robinhood buzzed with energy. Our fields echoed with laughter as campers played soccer, pickle ball, and taking part in dance-offs. And let’s not forget the serene beauty of Ossipee Lake—the perfect backdrop for canoeing, swimming, and quiet reflection.

As twilight settled in, our 15-and-under crew dashed off to West End for an intense basketball showdown. The court crackled with excitement, sneakers squeaking, and hearts racing. Who will emerge victorious? Only time will tell!

As the stars twinkle above, we bid you goodnight. May dreams of adventure, friendship, and s’mores fill your hearts. Until tomorrow, goodnight.

Daf,
