Wow. What a quiet day at The Realm. ELEVEN of our eighteen groups left for excursion this morning! The Saxons and Scribes were the first ones. They hopped aboard the coach bus at 7 AM and headed to Portland for surfing and exploring. After breakfast, the Bards were the next group to go. They white water rafted today! All three groups will be gone for a couple of nights, so Green and White break predictions are delayed a couple of days…perhaps…

As the Bards were leaving, junior camp was right on their tail. The TPs, Scouts, Jugglers, and Tumblers had an action-packed day at StoryLand followed by dinner and ice cream. The Squires and Jesters spent the day at the one and only Whale’s Tales Waterpark. After a fun day, the groups watched a movie and had dinner before returning to camp. Finally, the Archers and Bows took off to Water Country. They followed that up with Inside Out 2, Chipotle, and Coldstone!

That left the Yeomen, Lancers, Friars, Foresters, Quills, Arrows, and Shires to roam camp by themselves. With so many groups out, we took advantage of the day with a couple of Beach Parties and a ton of choices for kids to focus on sports of their choosing.

We just welcomed junior camp back amidst a beautiful sunset at the waterfront. We greeted tons of smiling faces who could not stop talking about what a great day they had.

After a long day, it’s time for us to get some sleep. We have a few more excursions leaving tomorrow morning… Sweet dreams from The Realm.

We are so fortunate here at Camp RobinHood. Today was another beautiful day. Blue skies, perfect temperature, and a nice breeze throughout The Realm. This morning, we said our goodbyes to the four-weekers. While it was sad to see them off, as one of the great counselors once said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” We channeled that thought throughout the rest of the day here. For those that left, we will make sure we have the BEST final couple of weeks in your honor. We will miss you and we hope to see you next year.

At dinner, Woody announced the first few excursions that will leave tomorrow. The Bards will be going white water rafting, among other things. Meanwhile, the Saxons and Scribes are set to leave early tomorrow morning to surf and explore the northeast. That is, of course, as long as Green and White doesn’t break tonight…

For those that are new, the Green and White “break” is the event, or sequence of events, that signifies the beginning of Color War. At the Boys Camp campfire tonight, Chuck talked about some of the most memorable ones of the past 59 summers. One of his favorites was a break in the 1970s. The whole camp was at Fenway Park for a Red Sox game. All of a sudden, in the middle of the game, a plane flew through the sky with a “RobinHood Green and White” banner. The CRH section erupted in pandemonium. Within a minute or two, the sections nearby were also chanting “Green and White” with the kids. We’ll see what happens this summer…

What an AMAZING day. We as an administration, our staff, and our campers were so excited to show you our home and the day did NOT disappoint.

From the waterfront to the ballfields to everywhere in between, it was an INCREDIBLE day. It was so special to see so many of our families reunite after four weeks apart. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To those that weren’t able to come: your kids were in great hands with our staff.

Thank you to everyone for making this day possible. To the families who made the trip to our beautiful home, thank you. Thank you to our campers for being such welcoming hosts to our visitors. To all of our incredible staff, especially our kitchen and maintenance staff, who worked extremely hard to make this day possible, thank you.

We are so lucky to be here and we are so happy we were able to show everyone today why we all feel that way.

To those that are leaving this weekend, we will miss you. Have a great offseason, study hard, and we cannot wait to see you again next year.

To those that are staying, get ready for the best two and a half weeks of the year. We have some STACKED excursions right around the corner. Speaking of right around the corner, when will Green and White Break? The rumors are starting…

Sweet dreams from The Realm.

How lucky are we?! Throughout our beautiful campus today, everything was in full swing. The past four weeks have flown by. As the old saying goes, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” Boy, have we had a TON of fun this past month.

Whether it was someone’s first summer or their 59th, or anything in between, we have all come together as one family, the RobinHood family. We are so excited to see so many of our campers’ families tomorrow on the biggest day of the year, Parents Visiting Day. We have a lot of awesome activities planned for the morning. Yensi and his amazing team in the kitchen have been working so hard to prepare lunch tomorrow.

While we are going to be sad to see our four-weekers leave this weekend, we know that this is not a goodbye, but more of a “see you later.” We hope that each and every one of you has had a spectacular four weeks, made new friends, and learned something.

For those that will be staying here the rest of the summer, the best is yet to come. This time next week, we may be in the midst of Green and White, the best five days of the summer. We also have some super fun excursions planned for each group.

We hope everyone gets a lot of sleep tonight to rest up for tomorrow. Sweet dreams from the Realm!

Are you excited yet? We are! We are gearing up for your arrival in a few short days. The weather could
not be more perfect. We have been blessed so far this summer. It is once again sunny and 85°. We just
concluded our annual 13U boys’ flag football tournament. This year it was attended by 3 other camps
(Wigwam, West End, and Wildwood). It was a great day of competition out on the far, far field.
Congratulations to Camp Wildwood for coming out victorious. CRH had a very fine showing as we
featured probably the youngest team in the tournament as our Yeoman were the predominant age
group out there. What a bunch of athletes!
The lower camp play was today at rest hour and all of camp was there to see their special performance.
The senior camp play is tonight…we cannot wait. I hear there is an ABBA theme. Stay tuned. We have
groups out climbing Chocura today. A group went to putt-putt. Foresters, Shires, Saxons, and Scribes
are going bowling tonight. Excursions start Sunday. It just never ends, the fun never stops here. But
what else does one expect? There is magic in these trees…it is not just a saying. We cannot wait to see
you this Saturday! We will have a couple cookies waiting for you….

Good night from the Realm!
